The
Delhi Development Authority (DDA) announced some time ago the Master Plan 2021
that it has devised for Delhi, and this was when the notion of the L zone of Dwarka arose. The complete
region is to be divided, as per the plan of the DDA, into fifteen smaller
zones. The one zone among these that has gained the interest, from both,
builders and investors, is Dwarka.
This
area in the South West Region of Delhi, along with the other zones in the
suburbs of Delhi, is soon to be developed into housing facilities which will
accommodate about two million people entering in the upcoming six years of
rapid urbanization. There are several reasons why the projects in Dwarka have stolen the
show amongst these new zones. The foremost and most important reason is the
connectivity of the area to key locations such as Gurgaon. Its proximity to
Indira Gandhi International Airport further makes it preferable for
development.
The
process of pooling land for the
L zone properties is progressing, and DDA and related agencies are awaiting
its completion so as to begin with the construction of civil infrastructure.
This process of construction and development, too, will be focused on improving
the accessibility of different parts of the zone. In addition to it all,
DDA wants to maintain an ecological balance during and after the completion of
the project. The advanced infrastructure potentially taking over the zone may
not, therefore, be a threat to the natural prosperity that the region
originally holds.
